PAINTINGS

This triptych is the result of the estratigraphic cut of 3 colors from the painting Hermit of Monserrat by Enrique Crucet (1895-1979).

Departing from microscopic photographies of micro samples taken from this painting, a new way of representation of painting as pure matter is transported to the canvas, where that, which the original creator didn’t see is revealed.

There is a tautology of color achieved by making assort of portrait of itself, creating new landscapes, which are then new landscapes inside the first existing and visible landscape.

This Project has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the Department or restoration of the fine arts at the Complutense University in Madrid.

Este tríptico es el resultado del corte estratigráfico de tres de colores extraídos de la obra “La Ermita de Monserrat” del pintor Enrique Crucet (1895-1979).

A partir de la fotografía microscópica a una micro-muestra extraída de esta obra pictórica, se traslada al lienzo un nuevo modo de representación de la pintura como materia pura, donde se devela lo que el propio creador no ve.

Hay una tautología del color, el cual es retratado a sí mismo, creando a su vez nuevos “paisajes” dentro del paisaje.

Este proyecto se ha realizado en colaboración con el Departamento de Restauración de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Microsamples taken from the painting Enrique Crucet’s La Ermita de Montserrat, encapsulated in resine (Earth, Sky and Green) from which the photagraphies represented by the artist in each canvas where taken.

These paintings are determined by the dimension of a previously cut cord. The cord is then fixed on the canvas following an especific kind of

landscape.

Estas pinturas están determinadas por la dimensión de una cuerda, previamente cortada, y luego fijada sobre el lienzo siguiendo un determinado tipo de paisaje.

 

BURNT PAINTINGS / PINTURAS QUEMADAS

These paintings are made from the burning of an oil color placed in fornt of the canvas.

Estas pinturas están determinadas por la quema de un color puro al óleo situado frente al lienzo.

 

BREATHS OF LIFE / SOPLOS DE VIDA

 

These paintings are made of the amount of breathings according to the time dedicated to each one. these is made through soap-bubbles and acrylic.

Estas pinturas están determinadas por la cantidad de respiraciones según el tiempo de cada una, a través de pompas de jabón y acrílico.

STUDIES FOR FOUNDED PAINTINGS / ESTUDIO DE PINTURAS ENCONTRADAS

Founded paintings in the city are extended through pictorial gestures, as a meeting point between painting and photography.

A través de gestos pictóricos se prolongan las pinturas encontradas en la ciudad, como punto de encuentro entre la pintura y la fotografía.
